About Me

My name is Andrew Klaber, I am a mechanical engineer with experience in the robotics and motorsports industries. My skills include mechanical design, analysis, rapid prototyping/fabrication, project management, and more.

I graduated from Cornell University in 2021 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering and currently work at Brooks Automation in Boston, MA.

On the weekends you can find me running, skiing, or working on my motorcycles.

Professional Experience

Brooks Automation

I currently work in new product development, designing innovative robots for applications in semiconductor manufacturing. Our robots must operate in challenging conditions with minimal maintenance, all while conforming to the exacting standards of our customers.

Honda Racing Corporation

(Formerly Honda Performance Development)

As a member of the chassis team, I designed a wide range of parts and systems to improve our racecars. I collaborated with manufacturing, dyno, trackside, aerodynamics, and simulation teams on several vehicle programs to identify issues and validate solutions.

Contributed to many projects including Acura ARX-06 LMDh, Honda Indycar, Acura Integra Type S DE5, CR-V Beast, Project Courage, and more.

Cornell Baja Racing

Team Lead for Cornell University’s Baja racing team. During my 4 years I worked primarily on chassis and suspension systems while also serving as testing lead and driver. I was able to contribute to the team’s continued success by leading recruitment efforts, ensuring knowledge transfer to younger members, and optimizing our design/manufacturing processes when COVID-19 limited our access to the workshop and other campus resources.

Additional Experience

I worked at three different internships while I was an undergraduate that helped me develop my skills and gain industry-specific knowledge.

2018 - YNotBike, developing autonomous bicycles

2019 - Clark Testing, testing clients’ products to military and industry standards

2020 - Gecko Robotics, developing robots for non-destructive infrastructure testing
